POSITION: Director


Tony established in 1989 the Scottish Interactive Technology Centre (SITC). It is a self funded research, design, production and development facility based within Moray House Institute University of Edinburgh and is experienced in all facets of multimedia design, production and development. Commercial partners have included Channel 4 Television, BBC London, Philips BV, Sony, Apple UK, British Telecom, Scottish Power and others (see below). Government department commissioners include, Scottish Office, Home Office, Department Trade and Industry, DfEE, Welsh Office, DENI, European Union and many UK local authorities, Universities and Colleges.

Since 1983 Tony's main interest has been focussed on action research and development in the use of interactive technology for teaching and learning with particular focus on continuing professional development. He has designed, published and produced forty-four multi media, on-line and Also creating training resources for all Scottish Education AuthorityÕs in a wide variety of subject areas. These materials have been widely purchased and applied throughout the UK. Five of SITCÕs products have won awards from both the European and British Multimedia Trade associations, BIMA gold Awards "Skills for Appraisal Interviewing", "Higher Physical Education", Silver Award "Mathematics", European Multi Media Gold Award CD-i "Primary Appraisal" and "French for Primary Teachers".
