Notes:
I want to I want to examine how technology can ‘enhance’ the learning and teaching process notice I use the adjective enhance and not replace teachers are irreplaceable.
People today all over the world are worried about the digital divide those who have and the have ‘nots’ they imagine that in the future the have-nots will have no computers. I don’t think that is true I think the poor will have computers but the haves will have both teachers and technology.
From the outset I believed that ICT can only be viewed as a part of the learning process and can never by itself constitute the learning ‘process’. Social interaction during learning is an irreplaceable dimension.
Technology enhancement can construct resource and communication environments which when contextulised, are supportive, offer learners ownership opportunities and encourage collaborative and heuristic methods. If designed appropriately
