Welcome to the School Handbooks Webpage
In order to help authorities meet their requirements under the School Handbook regulations, the Scottish Executive has, for a number of years, undertaken to provide each school with a number of summary prints for inclusion in their handbooks. In previous years this has been a very resource intensive exercise, involving the collation and mail-out of a number of sheets of data to every Primary and Secondary school in Scotland.
It is for this reason that it was decided, following discussions with the School Education Information Advisory Group, that this year we would use this National Priorities website as a vehicle for disseminating the statistics required for School Handbooks. Pages have been set up within this site, which present data in the required format.
The data can be accessed by using your unique password and then printed out for inclusion in your Handbook. The Scottish Executive will continue to issue paper prints to Independent and Special schools. NOTE: DATA IS PROVIDED AHEAD OF PUBLICATION BY THE SCOTTISH EXECUTIVE FOR USE IN THE PRODUCTION OF SCHOOL HANDBOOKS
